Carbon steel flange

Carbon steel flange, that is, flange plate or end flange connector made of carbon steel. The flange containing carbon steel is called carbon steel flange. Common materials are cast carbon steel brand WCB, forging A105, or Q235B, A3, 10 #, # 20 steel, 16 manganese, 45 steel, Q345B, etc.
Technical Conditions for Carbon Steel Flanges
Pressure markers specified in this standard are divided into PN markers and lass markers.
PN labels have 12 pressure levels
They are: PN2.5; PN6; PN10; PN16; PN25; PN40; PN63; PN100; PN160; PN250; PN320; PN400.
The Class tag has six stress levels
They are: Class 150; Class 300; Class 600; Class 900; Class 1500; Class 2500.
Another meaning of carbon steel flange is: flanges produced according to the size and tolerance range required by national standards are different from flanges not produced according to the standard size. They are also called two-standard flanges (some people call non-standard flanges incorrect). Usually, some bad businessmen will reduce flange thickness and outer diameter to achieve material saving. The purpose of material is to process flanges with scrap steel or corner steel. Usually this kind of steel is scrap whose chemical composition and mechanical properties are not up to the standard. Moreover, it is produced by private steelmaking in Black Steel Works. The obsolete steelmaking technology used in private steelmaking can not guarantee the mechanical properties and weldability, and may not be able to meet the requirements when used. Steel pipe welding, or steel itself has cracks, gas holes and other welding will also leak. So when buying flange, we should choose carbon steel flange as far as possible.
Characteristics and parameters
Carbon steel flange is compact and reliable. It has two sealing surfaces. At present, the sealing surface materials of ball valves are widely used in various plastics. It has good sealing performance and can achieve complete sealing. Carbon steel flange can be used in medium with suspended solid particles because of its wiping property in the opening and closing process. Model Q41F-16C Q41F-25C American standard A105 is about 0.9% (standard 1.05 Max can be reduced to 1.65% Max with carbon content) and national standard 16Mn content is about 1.3% (standard 1.2% - 1.6%) daily standard S25C is lower than 0.6%.
Common process
The production processes include forging, casting, plate rolling, plate cutting, etc.
Among them, the forging price is the highest, the medium plate product is the second, and the casting product is the lowest. As far as quality is concerned, forging is the best, rolling is the second and casting is the third. But the diameter of forgings is generally smaller.
