Elliptical head

The elliptical head is also called the elliptical head. The elliptical head is a head composed of two parts: a rotating elliptical sphere and a cylindrical straight section.
Its function is as follows: 1. When the pipe ends, it is not ready to extend now, it is welded to the pipe with a head and used as an end. 2. For pressure vessel, there is a head on top and bottom, and a straight pipe section in the middle. It is used as a tank of pressure vessel. The elliptical head with the ratio of the long axis to the short axis of the rotary elliptical spherical busbar is 2.0, which is customarily called the standard elliptical head. The mechanical properties of elliptical head are inferior to hemispherical head, but superior to dish head. Because the depth of elliptical head is between hemispherical head and dish head, the requirement of stamping equipment and die and manufacturing difficulty are also between them, that is, it is easier than hemispherical head and more difficult than dish head. In recent years, the use of spinning technology has brought convenience for manufacturing large diameter elliptical head. Owing to its good comprehensive performance, elliptical head is widely used in medium and low pressure vessels.
The quality control of elliptical head follows a series of steps. This step is: feeding - physicochemical - cutting - hot forging - heat treatment - Inspection - finishing - Inspection - marking - Inspection - marking - packaging typing - shipment.
Scope of application: Elliptical head is widely used in petroleum, electronics, chemical industry, medicine, textile, food, machinery, construction, nuclear power, aerospace, military and other industries.
Material: carbon steel, stainless steel, as well as aluminum, copper, titanium, nickel and nickel alloy steel.
Maintenance:
1. The content of chloride ion in water for hydraulic test should not exceed 25mg/L, and it should be dried in time after test.
2. Stainless steel pickling can not be reduced by hydrochloric acid.
3. Strictly abide by the media compatibility stipulated in the Compliance Regulation.
4. Prevent scratches and bumps on the surface of stainless steel elliptical head.
5. Prevent direct contact with carbon steel and iron ion pollution.
6. Do not store in the open air, rain proof.
7. Avoid forced group welding. Structural design should prevent excessive restraint stress.
8. After welding the elliptical head with the cylinder body, the welding seam, heat affected zone and the surrounding welding slag, spatter and contaminants should be cleaned up in time, and PT inspection and surface pickling should be carried out.
